United States considers the resumption of flights with Venezuela a "historic milestone"
The US chargé d'affaires in Caracas, John Barrett, considered this Thursday that Venezuela is open for business with the world following the resumption of flights by American Airlines, which he described as a "historic milestone" after seven years of suspended connections between the countries. "We are witnessing the rebuilding of our economic ties, the reopening of Venezuela to global trade, and the reconnection of our people, our people, in the countries," said Barrett from Maiquetía International Airport, in the state of La Guaira (north, near Caracas).
