Two missing after a boat capsized in an Ecuadorian Amazonian river
Two people remain missing in Ecuador after the boat they were traveling on, carrying three military personnel and a firefighter, capsized this Wednesday in the Santiago River, in the Amazonian province of Morona Santiago, bordering Peru, reported the National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR). The state portfolio indicated that the boat suffered a mechanical failure in the engine while navigating in the middle of the river, which prevented its maneuver and, due to the force of the current, it capsized.
