Colombia plummets in Latin America's economic prosperity ranking
Chile has once again led the region. The latest Prosperity Index 2025-2026, compiled by HelloSafe, positions it as the country with the best results in Latin America, followed by Uruguay and Panama. The study is not limited to the size of the economy; it builds its measurement from six key variables: GDP per capita, Gross National Income per inhabitant, savings rate, Human Development Index, Gini coefficient, and poverty levels.
