Mexico confirms death of drug trafficker El Mencho in operation with U.S. help
Mexico's Secretariat of National Defense confirmed this Sunday the killing of Rubén Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias El Mencho, leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), during an operation in Tapalpa, Jalisco (western Mexico), with the help of U.S. authorities. During the action, four other CJNG members died and three others were seriously injured, while three soldiers were also injured and taken to hospitals for specialized care, the authority pointed out.
