Several dead after a bus catches fire in Switzerland, according to police

Several people were killed and others injured when a bus, known in Switzerland as a "PostBus", caught fire in the town of Chiètres, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg, according to confirmation from regional police to the local news agency ATS. Beyond this confirmation, authorities have not provided the exact number of victims nor have they commented on the causes of the fire. They only added that one of the injured has been transferred by helicopter for medical attention, while the accident site has been cordoned off and residents have been asked not to approach. Swiss PostBuses are an iconic public transport service in this country, connecting rural and mountain towns, and were initially created to deliver mail, hence their name.
