Mexican Joaquín Guzmán Loera, 'El Chapo,' has again asked a federal court in New York for his extradition to Mexico, after being declared guilty in 2019 of drug-trafficking-related offenses in that same court. On April 23, Guzmán, former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, detailed in a handwritten letter in English published Monday by the Eastern District Court of New York that he is "fighting for an extradition to Mexico."
