PDVSA's pilot plan: six service stations in Caracas offer 97-octane gasoline at USD 1/L
Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) has started a pilot plan to offer 97-octane gasoline at six service stations in Greater Caracas for one dollar per liter. According to Venevisión, the stations offering this fuel are located in El Hatillo, Terrazas de Club Hípico, Tamanaco, Blandín, La Floresta, and Altamira, and began supplying it last Monday, February 16. Users wishing to refuel must pay only in foreign currency in cash at any of the mentioned stations. Station managers stated that the premium gasoline is 100% refined in Venezuela and contains imported additives that increase the octane.
