Despite the annual growth, generation fell 3.1% compared to August due to decreased demand from seasonal changes.
Renewable sources constituted 65% of regional electricity generation in September 2025.
Hydropower remained the primary source, accounting for 45.7% of generation, followed by natural gas (24%).
Wind energy participation rose to 11.4%, and solar energy grew by 5%.
Paraguay and Uruguay led in renewable energy usage, both at 100%, followed by Costa Rica (98%) and Venezuela (92%).
