"Who is better, Messi or Pelé?": Donald Trump entered into a football "controversy" during Inter Miami's visit to the White House
Rarely is he seen so elegant in public. Although he has at least 8 photos where everyone has seen him dressed in a suit – in which he poses with the Ballon d'Or – Lionel Messi does not usually dress like this. One of the best footballers in history, usually, when he is off the field, he looks more sporty: jeans, t-shirt, sneakers. He has also been seen more informally: flip-flops, shorts: a normal mortal. But the occasion called for his elegance. Messi visited the White House with his Inter Miami teammates. They were received in an office of one of the most important government houses in the world to meet with Donald Trump, who recognized them for being MLS champions, the national league of American soccer.

TL;DR
- Lionel Messi and Inter Miami were honored at the White House by Donald Trump.
- Trump presented the team with a recognition for winning the MLS championship.
- During the event, Trump compared Messi to Pelé, questioning who was the better player.
- Trump concluded that Messi was likely better than Pelé, despite having seen Pelé play.
- Messi, typically reserved, responded to the comparison with a smile.
