Venezuela exports 162 tons of seaweed to Chile: totaling four shipments
From the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela exported 162 tons of seaweed to the Chilean market, thus completing the fourth shipment of this product from the island entity to international markets. The operation was carried out on the container ship CMA CGM Arica, at the El Guamache International Port on Margarita Island. Six containers with dehydrated seaweed were sent to Chile. Samir Al Attrach, the sole authority of the Nueva Esparta Special Economic Zone (ZEENE), indicated that the export operation was carried out through efforts between the public sector and private companies and highlighted that, due to the arduous work of the terminal's operational staff, new international destinations will have products originating from the island region, according to a note from El Sol de Margarita.
