Adrift
Many years have passed and many things too. He still wears elegant clothes made by one of the last tailors left in the city. He feels handsome, haughty. Bored with academic studies, he left to travel the world as a merchant sailor. Many times he felt the fear of sailors before the raging sea. On peaceful nights, he would take his old guitar to sing boleros and sones learned since childhood in his neighborhood of Rincón Guapo, in the city of stone. In its streets and alleys, he learned the tricks of roguery and the language of the tricksters who taught him not to have borders between good and evil.
