La obra, liderada por la Secretaría de Infraestructura Distrital, se levanta sobre un área superior a los 64.000 metros cuadrados y actualmente genera 193 empleos directos entre personal de obra e interventoría. En un espacio que durante décadas estuvo marcado por la ocupación irregular, el deterioro y la exclusión, hoy se configura lo que será el complejo deportivo más grande, moderno y completo del Caribe colombiano.
