Road connection between the south and north of Bolívar: Yamil Arana's legacy

After many years of requests and waiting, the people of Bolívar will see one of the department's most ambitious projects fulfilled from this period: achieving a true, strategic, and safe road connection system between the south and north of Bolívar, thanks to the construction of one of the four crucial bridges in the territory, the ‘Puente Lobas’.

Road connection between the south and north of Bolívar: Yamil Arana's legacy

TL;DR

  • The 'Puente Lobas' project aims to connect the municipalities of Hatillo de Loba, Barranco de Loba, and San Martín de Loba, forming a crucial part of a larger north-south connectivity system in Bolívar.
  • The comprehensive system includes three additional bridges (Buenavista, Uriel Pinzón, and Piedra Candela) and key road segments like Arenal–Norosí, with resources being sought for other sections.
  • The project is considered a significant legacy of Governor Yamil Arana, requiring future budget allocations ('vigencias futuras') for its completion.
  • Transparency in the contracting processes is ensured through the 'Secop II' platform, allowing public access to project details.
  • The Infrastructure Secretary, Laura Melissa Vitola Cuadro, highlighted other completed and upcoming projects, including recreational centers, educational institutions, sports facilities, and roads.
