Pope Leo XIV stated this Tuesday that he expects to find 'a lot of love, hospitality, and welcome' on his upcoming visit to Spain, a country where he says he has always found a people of 'very good will'. In response to EFE's questions about his expectations for this trip as he left his residence in Castel Gandolfo, the pontiff highlighted that on his visits to Spain for over 40 years he has always found 'a people of great faith and very good will'. And he stated: 'May we celebrate it also on this visit.' 'It is Holy Week, it is a time of reflection and preparation to live Easter,' the Pope told EFE, adding that he hopes his upcoming visit will also be an 'opportunity to proclaim the Gospel, the love of God, and the closeness of God to all his peoples.' Leo XIV will visit Spain from June 6 to 12 and will travel to Madrid, Barcelona, and the Canary Islands.
