Venezuelan Medical Federation Demands Transparency in the Death of Víctor Quero Navas in Custody
The president of the Venezuelan Medical Federation (FMV), Douglas León Natera, denounced serious technical, legal, and ethical violations in the case of Víctor Quero Navas, whose death in state custody was hidden from his family for nine months. The spokesperson described the event as a flagrant violation of human rights and a 'pilgrimage of pain' for his mother, Carmen Navas, 81, who searched prisons, hospitals, and morgues for information that was denied to her.
