The decision was in line with market expectations and reflects the central bank's caution in the face of the global economic environment. In its statement, the entity warned that "the implications of events in the Middle East for the U.S. economy are uncertain," referring to the impact of the conflict in that region. According to the Fed, the U.S. economy continues to show signs of moderate growth. The central bank indicated that economic activity "has expanded at a steady pace."
