Brazilian Congress enacts law that provides for the reduction of Bolsonaro's sentence

The president of the Brazilian Congress, Senator Davi Alcolumbre, enacted this Friday the law that allows for the reduction of sentences for those convicted of coup actions against President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, including that of the former head of state and ultra-leader Jair Bolsonaro. After its enactment, all those convicted of the coup actions of January 8, 2023, when thousands of Bolsonaristas stormed the headquarters of the three branches of government, as well as those serving sentences for participating in plots to prevent Lula's inauguration, can request a sentence reduction from the Justice system.
