The president of the Tourism Chamber of Nueva Esparta state, Antonio De Abreu, noted that the Easter season in the entity 'looks very good' and added that 'there are very good expectations'. Likewise, he pointed out that for a month, airlines and tour operators have been selling special flights and packages for the island. 'From March 26 to 29 we see a very significant increase and then April 30, 31 and 1 are the peak arrival days,' he said, adding that 'the preference for tourists using a service continues to be the hotel sector.' Antonio De Abreu stated that there will be significant movement of tourists by sea to the island of Margarita, which is why operators have not been able to offer more trips 'because they are occupied (the ferries) on important dates, both for departure and return.'
