GeoPark begins drilling in Vaca Muerta with investment of up to US$100 million in Neuquén

GeoPark has started its first drilling campaign in the Vaca Muerta formation in Neuquén, Argentina.
The company plans to invest between USD 80 and 100 million in 2026 for this project.
The goal is to increase oil production in Argentina from around 1,500 barrels per day to an estimated 5,000-6,000 barrels per day by the end of 2026.
GeoPark has partnered with over 30 local contracting companies and signed 40 commercial agreements.
The company has established a local office and a team of approximately 30 employees in Neuquén.
Medium-term projections aim to increase production in the Neuquén Basin tenfold within three years, reaching nearly 20,000 barrels daily by the end of 2028.
