Encovi: "1 in 3 households in Venezuela do not have sufficient income"
This Thursday, the National Survey of Living Conditions (Encovi) for the year 2025 was presented at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. According to the study, poverty decreased compared to 2024. The specialist compared the indices collected in both periods and concluded that the trend continues to decline, "placing itself near pre-crisis levels". However, she indicated that 1 in 3 households do not have sufficient income to cover all of the family's food needs. The study covered 22 of the 24 states in Venezuela. Only Amazonas and Delta Amacuro were left out for logistical reasons.
